Gum Disease

If you notice that your gums are bleeding when brushing, you may have gum diseases. This is one of the first signs, along with bad breath and/or loose teeth. It is also known as Periodontal disease and is common among adults.

This disease substantially affects the gum and bone that support your teeth, and is caused by plaque. The plaque bacteria feed on dietary sugar that comes from our diet.

An effective tooth-brushing strategy is essential to overcoming gum disease. Your clinician can advise you on effective strategies, how many visits you should make, and what the cost will be.
